Rage Against The Machine Share Photos, Setlist From the First Ever Coachella

Could it be a hint at what might be on the setlist for this year's festival?

January 8, 2020

At the end of 2019, Rage Against The Machine dusted off the ol' Instagram account with some pretty exciting news.

The account's first posts announced the band's reunion and tour dates, including two dates in Indio, California in April - a hint that was later confirmed that they would be headlining this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Since then, the band has also been sharing throwback images and videos from performances of years past, including videos from Woodstock '99 and photos from the Democratic National Convention in 2000.

Yesterday, the official Rage Against The Machine Instagram account shared images from the first ever Coachella, hosted at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio back in 1999.

The photos were captioned with the setlist the band played at that first festival appearance, including a guest feature from Tool's Maynard James Keenan. The setlist below included several of Rage Against The Machine's biggest songs, including "Testify," "Killing in the Name," "Bulls on Parade," and more.

Guerrilla Radio
People of the Sun
Know Your Enemy (with Maynard James Keenan)
Born of a Broken Man
Bullet in the Head
Sleep Now in the Fire
No Shelter
Bulls on Parade
Killing in the Name

Could the throwback setlist be an indicator of the setlist we can expect at this year's Coachella? We'll be keeping an eye on Instagram for any further hints.
