What's Inside Tom Morello's New Book?

A sneak peek at his upcoming photo memoir

Get ready to read Tom Morello in his own words.

The legendary Rage Against The Machine guitarist is gearing up to release a new book called Whatever It Takes chronicling and profiling Morello’s storied career.

“This is a book about a lifelong mission,” Morello said in a statement.

“A mission that more often can be felt rather than articulated. There are clues to the nature of the mission in the guitar riffs, the crazy solos, the lyrics, and in the shared sweat and solidarity of friends and comrades onstage and off.”

The photo memoir will be released on October 13 and features photographs, handwritten notes, old setlists, as well as journal entries from Morello.

“I dug deep into my garage and photo albums to find pictures that I hadn’t seen in many years,” he said. “Some of the photos show history in the making. Some are historically rocking. And some are historically embarrassing.”

The book will feature a limited run of 150 copies that will be signed by Morello. Additionally, it will include an exclusive 7-inch vinyl featuring the track “Whatever It Takes” and a previously unreleased live recording of his song “Vigilante Nocturno.”  Buyers will also receive a copy of the Little Red Songbook, a booklet of songs and chord charts from Morello’s solo project The Nightwatchman.

You can pre-order the book and view several archived pictures right now at Genesis Publishing.
