Making Love Out of Nothing At All: World's Worst iPod

May 25, 2016

There was a lot of talent on the 1983 song "Making Love Out of Nothing At All," but it wasn't necessarily from the members of Air Supply.

First of all, the song was written by Jim Steinman, the same guy who wrote all the songs for the Meat Loaf "Bat Out of Hell" album. And musicians on the album included some heavy hitters--Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg from the E Street Band, and Rick Derringer played lead guitar. He's the guy from the McCoys (remember "Hang on Sloopy?") who also worked al lot with Johnny and Edgar Winter, and had a hit of his own with "Rock and Roll Hootchie Coo."

There are certain songs that are a blast to sing along with---even if they suck. And this may be one of the best in that particular category.
