"Playground in My Mind"--World's Worst iPod

Clint Holmes had a huge hit in 1973, with the song "Playground in My Mind."

It went all the way to #2 on the charts and was on the radio constantly. It was a half and half song--half schmaltz old fogey singing, and half childish nursery rhyme type singing, actually by the song of the gu who produced the record.

A few people who called in this morning suggested it's the worst song we ever played. I'd say it's right up there with "Bad Blood" and "MacArthur Park."

For some reason, Dick Clark was doing his American Bandstand show from a beach this time around. The set-up, the setting, and the lip synching are epic.
