Happy 70th birthday to one of the coolest guys to ever strum a guitar--Bruce Springsteen!

Here are some things you may not have known about the septuagenarian!

1. When he was a young musician, he saved on rent by living in the back of a New Jersey surfboard factory.

2. His kids thought his dancing in the video for "Dancing In the Dark" was hilarious.

3. He's a big fan of the Harry Potter books, and wrote a song he hoped would get into one of the Harry Potter movies. Unfortunately for him, JK Rowling doesn't allow commercial music in the films.

4 In 2004, Bruce drank a beer on the balcony of a house on West Washington Avenue in Madison. Springsteen was performing at a rally for John Kerry, and saw some students holding up a sign that said "Bruce come up for a beer."  He obliged, and brought his wife Patti Scialfa and Tom Brokaw with him. The beer was from Middleton's Capital Brewery, by the way.

5. The title for "Kitty's Back,"was supposedly inspired by a neon sign Springsteen saw promoting the return of a popular stripper to a Jersey Shore club.  What? It has nothing to do with me?
