A fun mix of new and old this week on The Local Hour!

"Gone Daddy Gone" by the Violent Femmes. The Milwaukee band has a sold out show at the Sylvee next Saturday night.

"Shake The Blues Away" by Old Soul Society. See Derek Ramnarace from OSS at Buck & Honey's in Sun Prairie on Wednesday.

"Long Line Down" by the Rousers. Go see their 35th anniversary show Saturday at the Barrymore with Phil Gnarley and the Tough Guys and other special guests.

"Living In the U.S.A." by the Steve Miller Band. Steve, who went to college in Madison in the early '60s,  just got an honorary degree from the UW on Friday night.

"Drive All Night" by the Earthlings. See them at the Wisco on Willy Street on Friday night.

"Smilin' On" by Karen Wheelock and Gabe Burdulis.

"Fields of Gold" by Anna Dybdahl. A fantastic Sting cover.

"Carry The Torch" by Firetown. A great live version of this song by the old  Madison band that featured Butch Vig and vocals by Phil Davis.

"I'll Be Waiting For You" by Emperors of Wyoming. A Butch Vig side project also featuring Phil Davis. Find this song on Wisconsin Vinyl Volume One which came out a couple years ago. More info here.

"Against The Wall" by Mama Digdown's Brass Band. From the album Slippery 7 which came out way back in 1999.

"All Night Long" by Cash Box Kings. from The Royal Mint. They have a new album coming out on Alligator Records on Friday, when they have a show at the Knuckledown Saloon.

"What My Baby Wants" by the Jimmys. From the album Hot Dish.

"Where I'm At" by Avian Aura. See them at Boulder Brew Pub in Verona June 7.

"Room In Your Heart" by Corey Mathew Hart. From Words Like Wildfire.
