Way To Go Gabby Parsons!

Lifetime Achievement Award for Longtime Triple M Host

March 28, 2019

A much deserved honor will be bestowed on former Triple M air personality Gabby Parsons at the 16th annual Madison Area Music Awards in June. She's the recipient of Broadjam's LIfetime Achievement Award in honor of her 47 years in broadcasting.

Gabby was part of the Triple M family for nearly 20 years, retiring last fall. She served as Music Director for much of that time and also created the Local Hour, a Sunday night music show which continues to this day. According to a release from the Madison Area Music Association, Gabby was "a hero amongst local musicians who craved commercial radio exposure."

The release also describes her musical  love affair with local artists including Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo, Gabe Burdulis, the People Brothers Band, the Lower 5th and the late Luke Jorgensen, the Mascot Theory, Bob Manor and the Getaway Drivers. Those musicians returned the love as well--as they and other music fans voted Gabby Favorite Local Radio Personality 6 years in a row.

Just because she's retired, doesn't mean Gabby has stopped loving local music. If you see her out and about at a show, be sure to congratulate her on this achievement!
