The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2019 inductees--and it looks like it's a pretty good class.

Getting the honor this time around: The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, and the Zombies.

Artists are honored for providing 25 years of musical excellence.

This time around, Def Leppard won the fan vote, so their fans are probably cranking up "Pour Some Sugar On Me" at this very moment.

I'm most excited about the inclusion of The Zombies, who came onto the scene during the British Invasion, for crying out loud!  I have been lucky enough to see the Zombies twice--once at Summerfest, and last year at the Barrymore Theatre when they played their groundbreaking album Odessy and Oracle in its entirety. That was definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen at the Barrymore--and I've seen quite a few over the years.

While I have no major beefs with who gets the nod this time around, I do hope two of this year's nominees get included soon--John Prine and Todd Rundgren are more than deserving.

And don't get me started about artists that have never been nominated that deserve to be included. I'll save that rant for another day.
