Tom Morello Opens up About Chris Cornell's Death & Asks 2 Things of Us in Touching Tribute

It’s been two months since Chris Cornell’s tragic passing, and with an influence as massive as his, it’s no surprise that tributes are still pouring in from friends, family, and fans. Fellow Audioslave bandmate Tom Morello recently honored Cornell’s life with an incredibly heartfelt post on the late musician’s Facebook page.

The post asked two things, or “pledges,” of readers: to support the Cornell family and to look out for one another. It also thanked Tim Commerford for saving Cornell from addiction in 2001. Morello then went on to compare Cornell to The Beatles, Black Sabbath, and Edgar Allen Poe before insisting that Cornell’s voice and everyone’s love for him will assuredly live on forever.

While he raves about Cornell’s poetry, Morello sure did string together some beautiful words—some of which read like poetry. Read the heartfelt tribute in its entirety below:
