New Killers & MGMT on the Way

It looks like The Killers and MGMT seem to be close to finishing up their latest albums.

The Killers are working on their fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2012’s Battle Born. Frontman Brandon Flowers told NME they were “nearly there” on wrapping the album and that they’ll play some of the new stuff this summer at London’s Hyde Park. Drummer Ronnie Vannucci proceeded to share, “We’re trying to arrive at something we’re all just a little bit uncomfortable with. When everyone is slightly uncomfortable, then we know we’re there.”

Something we’re totally comfortable with? This new music teaser the band shared just over two months ago—this stuff is sounding funky!

As for MGMT, the band’s been sending some mixed signals, editing their below 2015 tweet for the following 2016 one:

The latest update looks more promising:

Assuming this means they’re wrapping the new album, this will mark the band’s first new record since 2013’s self-titled album.
