Benefit for Scotty Canon

807 River St
Belleville, WI 53508
United States

Event Description:

In September 2016, Scott was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Shortly after, he began both radiation and chemotherapy for three months. In February of 2017, Scott had surgery to remove the cancer and 4.5 inches of his esophagus. Due to the duration and complexity of this surgery, it was comparable to three open-heart surgeries and the recovery was long and painful. However, after recovery, it had appeared the worst was behind us, but six months later following a CT scan, five new spots were discovered on his liver. In August of 2017, Scott, again, had to undergo both radiation and chemotherapy. Two months later, three new spots were discovered on Scott's spine and he had to undergo radiation yet again.

Currently, Scott has to undergo three weeks of chemotherapy with one week off. Throughout this ordeal, Scott has lost nearly 70 pounds and although he has stage 4 cancer, he has continued to fight and has remained extremely positive with a "we will beat this" attitude, which has kept his family and friends inspired and hopeful.

Support Scott as he continues his battle so his family and friends can help alleviate the overwhelming medical bills and show their undying love and support to this wonderful, wonderful guy.
